Know the Game
Match Rules & Handicap Structure
2-Man Best Ball
Both players play their own ball through the hole. The lower net score of the two counts as the team score.
Each player receives their full Course Handicap. Net score is gross minus handicap strokes allocated per the hole's stroke index.
Alternate Shot
Players alternate shots on every stroke, including the tee shot. One ball is played per hole. The team decides who tees off on odd holes and who tees off on even holes. One team score per hole.
Each player receives their full Course Handicap. Net score is gross minus handicap strokes allocated per the hole's stroke index.
Scramble
Both players hit from the same spot each stroke. The team selects the best shot and both play from there. Repeat until holed. One team score per hole.
Player A receives 60% of their Course Handicap. Player B receives 40% of their Course Handicap. Add the two together for the team's total handicap strokes, allocated per the hole's stroke index.
Chapman
Both players tee off, then switch balls for the second shot. After the second shots, the team selects the best ball and alternates shots until holed. One team score per hole.
Each player receives their full Course Handicap. Net score is gross minus handicap strokes allocated per the hole's stroke index.
Individual Matchplay
One-on-one match play. Each hole is won, lost, or halved. The player who wins the most holes wins the match.
Players use their full Course Handicap. The lower-handicap player gives strokes to the higher-handicap player based on the difference, allocated per the hole's stroke index.
